I was out here the other night and the placed looked virtually dead. What sort of hotel does not stay open? Odd place.

Ventured in simply because it has such a fantastically low rating in many quarters. In fairness, I didn't see any trouble, nor did I feel that there was any danger of some and I invited it by using the pool table. The clientele seemed fairly Rock/Goth like, no obvious scummers. The interior wasn’t very well lit. Oh and as for the interior, if this place has been refurbed recently I'd love to see how it was before - it looks pretty naff with chairs and tables sourced from Steptoe’s scrapyard. One ale was available - Old Speckled Hen - which apparently was 'fresh on'. If the barman thinks that is a fresh beer he needs to change his underpants more often.
