Perhaps not overly alluring from the outside, simple whitewash with black trim and an old coaching archway. Much better within, the carpeted room goes round a central open fireplace. Wattle and wood walls with some aged vertical beams at the bar. Two ales, Doom Bar and Ramsbury Flint (which was excellent). A good range of bar snacks, including the full range of Monster Munch and some pork scratchings. Genuinely friendly barmaid served us. Apparently a skittle alley to the rear though I can’t confirm if it’s still in use. Not a bad little place based on this visit.

A detached cottage style pub and restaurant, with a white rendered facade and black paintwork, giving it a traditional look. There is a patio and beer garden with childrens play area.

The interior had a main bar room - there was a restaurant room as well, which i didnt see as i didn't eat, and the bloke behind the bar said they have a skittle alley as well. The main bar was and L-shape open plan, in white and beams, with a brick and wood bar and a big stone fireplace. A separate area was hidden behind the fireplace, which was nice. The were the traditional trappings of old photos and prints, but here there were also ceramic horses. There was a poker table. The service was fine, the clientele mixed and friendly enough and the music, a little charty based, at a decent level.

Beer; tap stuff with just Wadsworth 6X on. Whilst this isn't my favourite, it was well kept, but i felt a little disappointed there wasn't more choice.

All in all, it was a lovely pub and the beer fine, just sadly, little choice for a real ale drinker. Another real beer would be fantastic.
