An Edwardian town pub whose two original bars have been conjoined, well described by Maldenman, below. The music was a bit too loud for my liking, but the landlord was welcoming and the locals friendly. It's dog friendly and seems to have been recently decorated. Four ales on were Tribute, GK IPA, Ranmore and Good Old Boy, all in very good condition. One of the better pubs in the area and a definite for a crawl or a good evening's drinking.

Two areas partially divided with an archway through at the rear which clearly indicates the original layout, as do the remaining two doors and entrance lobby. There is a further small room to the rear beyond the toilet corridor which has a dartboard and a TV. Fireplaces each side as you would expect, lower wainscoted walls, leaded upper light windows.
The pub is comfortable and welcoming being carpeted and with curtains at the windows and the service was friendly and warm. Outdoor seating to the side looked well appointed and not just a smokers' den.
Four handpumps, impressive for a pub away from the town centre so without passing trade, all on, Tribute, Landlord, GK IPA plus Hog's Back Surrey Nirvana which was first rate.
I'm fairly sure they do food although around 2ish on a Saturday there was no sign.
Worth the walk up the hill away from town, certainly one of the few decent pubs in Aldershot.
Watch out for the opening hours, often not before 5 in the week.

A small pub, essentially one room divided into two separate drinking areas by a wall three quarters of the length of the room but accessible by a large open archway, obviously they were once two completely separate rooms as there is a doorway to each as you enter the pubs main entrance door. Its a quite simple, traditional layout inside with some banquet seating along with some small tables and stools. on the bar to the rear of the pub are four hand pumps along with some basic Lager offerings, on the pumps were Greene King IPA, Youngs Bitter and Timothy Taylors Landlord with a St Austell Tribute clip turned round on the fourth. The pint of Youngs was in good shape and as good as Iv'e had of this once fine beer in the last few years, admittedly thats not saying much. A nice pub, but a bit off the main drag with little parking opportunity's nearby, but deserves to do well.
