Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Welcome Inn

Basic estate JW Lees pub, initially appearing closed because the lounge was in darkness, but the compact public bar was nearly full with those playing and watching the competitive use of the pool table. No real ale, sadly, with a very limited range of keg beers too - just the brewery's standard lager and bitter (£3.00), plus San Miguel.

I popped in to the Welcome Inn early on a Tuesday evening in September last year. The long lounge bar that runs along the front of the pub was closed so I had to settle for the smaller public bar that houses a pool table and dartboard. The TV was off in favour of some background music. This is a JW Lees pub, but the two hand pumps were both off, maybe ale is only served in the lounge bar. Cash only. There is plenty of parking and out the back is a tarmac beer yard with a few picnic tables.
The locals were friendly enough, but I don’t see myself visiting here again any time soon.

The Welcome Inn is a typical 70s built pub that is on the ordsall estate.
Once inside the pub had two rooms that we noticed with a fairly large bar and a smarter lounge,we had a drink in the lounge because we were warned that a fight was going on in the bar.
The pub is a Lees tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Lees bitter which was a decent enough drink the other beer was Lees mild.
The pub was very busy on our Saturday afternoon visit and it did have a bit of a rough edge to it,but we were happy enough having a drink in here.
It is nice to see this pub still up and running as most pubs on the ordsall estate have long gone.
