The Waggon & Horses is another holts pub along this stretch, this being the better and more popular of the three during a recent Wednesday late evening visit. However, the popularity may have been due to the weekly quiz that was in progress. The central bar counter serves the lounge to the right where banquettes run along the exterior walls wrapping around central standard tables. To the left is the vault where banquettes run across the front windows and up the left-hand wall to a dartboard at the rear. A pool table takes centre stage in the middle of the room. The televisions were muted with Women’s Champions League on one and tennis on the other. I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit, but there are slim pickings for decent pubs around here so shouldn’t grumble when I find one that’s OK.

A 2 roomed estate style pub. The 'vault' is the room I went in which was a basic square room with tiled floor. Horsey horsey blokes watching their money going down the drain seemed to be the norm today. A simple place.

The Waggon and Horses is a 70s built pub that is on a main road.
Once inside the pub had two fairly large rooms with a basic bar where i had a drink and a smarter lounge, the pub is a Joseph Holt tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
I was quite happy having a drink in this pub.
