As the photos show a nasty modern building, inside the atmosphere is pure estate pub, but maybe less threatening of impending violence. There’s a two bar set up, a small rear lounge not in use, and a larger L-shaped front one. Modern banquette and tables and chairs plus a stage in the main bar. L-shaped counter to match with two beer engines, one bitter, one unclipped, a range of solos both Lees’ own and national brands, beware there are keg and cask versions of the bitter but the excellent bar staff always seem to ask which is wanted. The ambiance won’t suit everyone but for those who like a traditional English bitter the beer quality was outstanding, it’s won a number of in-house awards. One pull and a few keg taps in the back bar. Filled rolls available.

The Tommyfield is an L-shaped JW Lees pub with a L-shaped central bar counter. High tables are found around the bar and banquettes around the exterior walls. There’s a prominent stage so I imagine live music is held here. There was nothing going on during my recent midweek evening visit, except for JW Lees adverts on the two televisions whilst some very low background music played. Lees Bitter was available, the second handpump was unused. Standard keg and San Miguel were also on draught. The service was polite, but I don’t plan on revisiting.

Right by the market area so while the wife buys crap over the road you can have a drink here. Friendly enough of an afternoon and if you lucky you can watch some old bloke playing his Hammond organ.

Custom built 70's square box on the market car park. Inside it's L shaped and smelly. The carpets are a mess and the whole place has a run down look. The pub is far better then the clientele though, most of whom seemed to be smellier than the pub when I called in one Friday late afternoon. One handpump on the bar but no pumpclip. Luckily there was no-one actually behind the bar serving. This meant that I could have a look around without having to buy a drink, bit of a result that. It's awful.
