A refreshingly down-to-earth place after the hippy and dining vibes in my previous few stops. Staple-shaped interior with a further extension room for dining off right. Looks like a tidy refurb about 30 years ago which has been looked-after and has some charm like the quarter barrel bar ends, cast iron upper bar gantry, parquet flooring and curtains. Football on the go, though only a smattering of people were watching, Dart board and a pool table tucked out of the way. Three cask, Wye Valley Butty, Wainwright's Amber (NBSS 3) and one I forgot - a cider, I think. Friendly service from the be-waistcoated barman. I enjoyed it here.

Despite rain showers, most customers for this pub were seated on a large outdoor patio area overlooking the car park. Large umbrellas provided shelter. As the previous reviewer has said, there were quite a few families.

We chose to sit inside, where a one-way system around the central bar was in operation, in addition to table service.

Butcombe Original is the regular ale. St Austell Tribute was the guest. I didn't particularly fancy either. Another disappointing pub.

A large family friendly pub with a play area outside. The interior is traditional with polished timber and wallpapered walls, which was quite modern in style. The interior featured a good sized bar positioned mid centre, with a horseshoe wrap around lounge area, along with pool table and a good sized rear dining area, which was predominately painted in orange with pine seating. Four handpumps with two in use serving Stroud Budding and Otter. As mentioned, this is a child friendly pub and there was a good number of children around the main bar on our Friday afternoon visit. A couple who were sat near the bar area, did look quite perplexed with the noise from a small infant sat on a bar stool, who was screeching. Hence we also bailed out rather quickly.
