OK let's not beat about the bush, the interior is a dire blandised mess with snot colour woodchip wallpaper and a crappy Middle Earth decal. However it's GBG listed and it absolutely justified it's inclusion; four cask on; TTL, Prescott Hill Climb and 2x North Cotswold. A half of the NC’s Porter was in brilliant shape (NBSS 4.5) and slipped down a treat, with a bit of friendly chat from the bar and a buzzing atmosphere. So for that alone you should alight the train to give it a go.

Closed this week but signs of renovation underway inside - so hopefully will be open again soon.

Good Beer Guide 2020 Entry. Allegedly the inspiration behind the Prancing Pony Pub in the Lord of the Rings.

Typical Cotswold Coaching House. Beautiful architecture.

Four or Five real ales on - Ubu Purity, North Cotswold Shagweaver, Prescott Hill Climb and TT Landlord. I went for the Landlord, which was tired and quickly lost an resemblance of life.

Also disappointing was a 45 minute wait for food in an empty pub, where the bar staff were nearly equal to the punters. However, it was very good when it came.

Overall, an underwhelming experience.

Called into this 2018 Good Beer Guide pub while on a coach trip round Gloucestershire pubs. Chose Prescott brewery beer from the local and National beers from the Enterprise Inns portfolio which was fine. Interior largely open plan with sections going off, and an enclosed garden area at the rear.

The Bell is a decent looking pub built with cotswold stone.
This pub was quite smart inside and had different drinking areas.
When i first visited this pub was a Whitbread tied house and there were no real ales on the bar,i dont know what beers the pub now has on the bar as i only photographed the pub.
