Will Larter left this review about The Lion Inn

A lovely old stone building with some possibly original features. The bar is on the left in the back room with two Butcombe beers on. I went for the Rare Breed, which was in good condition and £5.30 a pint. I found somewhere pleasant to sit, but the background music was tedious and repetitive, like a first attempt by a chatbot educated on Philip Glass and bossa nova, and I was sharing a table with two random people and their dog. Luckily I had only ordered a half and was soon out of there.
