Old Boots left this review about The Bell Inn

Narrow, old fashioned looking pub, a single bar with a dining room behind. Didn’t look too promising with a group of lager swilling bar blockers at one end of the bar and an ancient behind the bar who could have been defeated by contactless technology. Only two pulls, one in use with Otter Amber, the other had a reversed Otter Bitter clip. I shouldn’t have worried, the old bloke sorted it out and beer was very drinkable if not spectacular, the bar blockers noisy but no trouble. Odd decor scheme of maroon above either grey or dirty cream I couldn’t tell which, big clear windows but probably not girl friendly. Ranks of tables and chairs arranged cafe like. Careworn would be one way of describing the place.

Nice tiled exterior with quite a small bar area and another area to the rear. 3 real ale taps one on during my visit.

Attractively tiled corner pub dead opposite the Bath Tavern, so no problem for a quick two pub crawl here then.
The small front area houses the small rectangular bar and would be busy with about a dozen in , and then there is a larger space behind, which if the posters are to go by is used as one of the venues for the Cheltenham Folk festival.
Comfortable traditional pub décor and along with a couple of the standard draft options the bar has three handpumps which were GK IPA, Adnams Broadside and one off for my visit.
So not a great ale choice but a comfortable enough locals pub that was quite quiet on my mid-day visit.
