Nice pub in the daytime great staff so much so we returned in the evening oh dear me there was a reggae group that arrived about 7.30 pm and proceeded to bring in equipment with total disruption and inconvenience to the patrons there was 2 women and 4 or 5 men climbing over chairs and tables with dirty shoes , a couple of their children roaming around whilst they disrupted the whole pub one of the males said I need to put this flag up can you move! The whole pub became a total breech of health and safety and totally unfit for purpose, can anyone comment on this...MANAGER? Would welcome your comments. Also ladies toilets were very dark and dingy with a couple of withered, unkept looking soap bars scattered on the sinks a feeble hand dryer could be improved with better lighting and a maintained soap pump and dryer.

A nice building from the outside, with seating on the main parade near the screams from the amusement park.

The inside is mainly given over to entertainment areas, a music area & pool area. Nothing much more inside to describe! 2 real ales - Speckled Hen & Courage Best Bitter - thre quality of which was very average despite its listing in the Good Beer Guide.

This is a small old fashioned seafront hotel that is GBG 2014 listed.
It consists of an open plan lounge with what looked like a stage area for live music by the windows and a raised area to the left of the bar with a pool table. At the front there are pavement tables and chairs and there is a beer garden of sorts at the rear.
There were only two beers being served on a fairly dismal May Thursday afternoon. These were Courage Best and Fuller's ESB. I went for the ESB (£3.30) which was completely lacking condition but OK apart from that.
I took solace in the fact that I'm not a northerner and that it was almost certainly cheaper than a London Fuller's tied house.
I was expecting a better beer choice than this so overall I was rather disappointed.

I Was in recently for a few Pints one afternoon whilst I was waiting for me Royal Enfield too be serviced at a Local Dealers. I had a nice pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord and a pint of Young's ESB both were in excellent condition. I found the staff were friendly as were the other customers. I would definitely come in again when in the area.

Nice friendly pub, where you can go to play pool, darts, or the ocasional live band, normally advertised.
The recent referb is extremely good and completely changed the pubs layout, to include a small stage for the live events.

Fairly large pub on the seafront.Normally a good selection of beers on and the best along "The Golden Mile" for choice of real ale.Has now had a complete re-furb which has turned it into a very comfortable pub selling up to 6 real ales.Has also reverted to its original name.
