Work has commenced to convert it into nine flats. I never tried the pub, but it is a shame to lose another one.

The Oak is a decent sized corner pub.
Once inside there is a single U shaped room which is bare boarded,there is a pool table to the rear right,there are tall tables and chairs to the right and normal tables and chairs to the left,there is also a TV to the left which was showing golf.
There was an handpump on the bar with Doom Bar on,but i was told it was of,so i had to have a drink of John Smiths Extra Cold crap which was a pretty crap drink.
It looks like to pub has had the modern makeover which in my opinion never seems to work and the pub was empty on my Thursday afternoon visit.
Overall a pretty poor pub in my opinion.
