Thuck Phat left this review about The White Horse

Traditional town centre pub which is the pick of the bunch in Linslade as Mr Fastard notes below. It's a one room boozer, sparsely furnished but comfortable with a dart board and television showing Sky Sports New on our visit. The place has had a spruce up recently with a fresh coat of paint and general decluttering which has done it good and may suggest a recent change of management.
Five ales are offered: GK IPA, London Pride, Red Squirrel's Conservation Bitter and St. Austell Tribute and Proper Job. The Conservation Bitter and Proper Job were both in good nick and very quaffable. It's a fairly conservative range given that there are 5 handpumps available and a number of decent breweries locally but that's a very minor quibble.
The place to head to for real ale in Linslade.

UPDATE - September 2011

Almost entirely unchanged since my last visit, the White Horse remains a basic but comfortable local boozer. Beers on this time were: Pride, GK IPA, Deuchars IPA and Tribute, which went down well. One fewer than previously and all from national brewers.
With a little TLC and the freedom and ambition to make interesting ale selections this place really could be an absolute gem. In the meantime it's probably still the safest bet for a pint in Linslade.

Bucking Fastard left this review about The White Horse

Traditional small town centre pub with a central bar ,this place is well used by locals and folk attracted by the range of beers.London Pride and GK IPA are always stocked together with up to 3 guest ales.On our visit there was Spitfire,Chesnut (Burton Old Cottage brewery) and Huck-me-Buck (Tring brewery) .The changing range may cause confusion behind the bar because when enquiring about what beer style Huck me Buck was,we were told it was a light ale when infact it came out tawny ,pleasing none the less.Spitfire was good ,but the London Pride was odd.Now I have been quaffing London Pride for more years than I care to mention and so have my colleagues and although what came out of the London Pride pump was quaffable,it wasnt Pride.By now Black Sheep had replaced the Spitfire and lo and behold it didnt look or taste like Black Sheep either. My guess is that there had been barrel confusion in the cellar,or the wrong pump clip attached to the hand pumps.Nothing malicious and the ale quality was good and very reasonably priced but its the sort of issue that need sorting out. However still the best pub in Linslade.Beware this pub is shut some midweek luchtime sessions.

Revisit March 2011.
Glad to report that previous issues have been resolved, pub also open midweek lunchtime and the ale in fine condition. This drinkers pub is back on top form.
