Now definately shut since mid 2010 and sold to a private developer.
That developer is currently proposing to utilise the listed building for private functions like weddings and parties.
They have just had a planning application for the erection of a large pavillion in the grounds next to the pub and alterations to the front and side of the building rejected by Barking and Daggenham council in their March 2012 meeting.
