Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Alma Inn

One of several historic Inns in the old part of Harwich, this two-bar establishment retains a lot of character and still offers accommodation. Lots to look at in the main bar, plus a very welcome real fire on the day the weather turned really cold (and certainly not a day for the rear patio). Four Adnams ales - Southwold, Ghost Ship, Broadside and the excellent seasonal Old (which went very well with my fish and chips) - plus Nethergate Azza Hatter and Billericay Rhythm Stick.

Yes, interesting and thankfully understated 'nautical' decor, good choice of colours and stained blue glass on the upper panes making for a light and airy feel. Good mix of Adnams, Harwich beers and good house white wine. Decent beer garden. Good music, huge serve of nachos for a fiver. All up a good place and the locals (or local visitors) seem to agree, the place was pretty full. Wish them well.

Very hard to discribe this one. Plenty of floral on display and it feels quite comfortable to sit in. 3 real ales on with Adnams in good form. Well worth a visit

Very interesting decor. A good drinking pub with guest real ales. Worth looking at.
