Lovely low-beamed country boozer featuring a real cider and perry alongside four good-quality and interesting beers, including a Mild (Oscar Wild). My beers were served in a handled pot, always a bonus. Love the gigantic banner outside proudly proclaiming that they don't serve Greene King beer - good on you boys!

Loads of previous pump clips are attached to the ceiling beams and there’s an excellent variety. A point of interest is the bar – covered in pre-decimalisation pennies. One small area of improvement were the bogs, which could do with a refurb as they were a bit iffy. There’s a restaurant area to the rear and accommodation is available.

All in all, a great pub in a nice location and well-worth seeking out for good session.
