I visited this pub with my husband and two children and was amazed at the brilliant customer service and warm welcome we received. Sunday roast was to die for and the deserts we had were out of this world. More recently I done lunch with the ladies and temptation got the better of us and we had scones with clotted cream and jam washed down with Cappacino's!! What a little gem of a place can't beleive I have not visited sooner

As the new Licencee of the Sixteen String Jack, I am thrilled to confirm the pub will re open on the 1st September 2008 at 5pm. My family and I look forward to welcoming you all. We have some exciting new ideas in the pipeline to offer our customers and
will be holding a re opening party on Saturday 6th September where our customers can enjoy a free glass of bubbly with us, a buffet and we have a lovely live singer performing on the night taking us through the ages with some good well known songs, so come along and enjoy an evening at the Sixteen String Jack! With many more to come! Look forward to seeing you.

This unusual pub name refers to Jack Rann who was a highwayman and was hanged at the age of 24 in 1774 at Tyburn. He was called Sixteen String Jack because he used to wear sixteen different coloured strings on his knee breeches,he was reported as having several women at his last dinner and done a jig as he was waiting to be hanged.(Probable been drinking GK,So take heed!)
