Steve C left this review about The Victoria Inn

The Victoria Inn was fairly busy with a local crowd when I visited early on a recent Saturday evening and being an unfamiliar face I found it rather difficult to get served. I did finally get my hands on a pint of Cornish Knocker, which was very good, and the service was friendly enough in the end. Harveys Best and Exmoor’s Silver Stallion were also available alongside a standard draught selection and the food seemed reasonably priced if the description of the dishes was accurate. A carvery is to the left of the bar and an inglenook and large plasma screen can be found to the right. The jukebox was playing some random background music and there is also a quiz machine. Outside the front of the pub there is some seating on a decked area and a section for smoking. Out the back there is space for parking and a large lawn beer garden with some climbing apparatus for the kids. I didn’t see a petanque court, but earlier in the day I did witness the Victoria Inn playing an away game against the Royal Albert so I imagine some steel balls are thrown somewhere within the grounds.

I liked it in here, even with the wait, and would have no problem returning.
