Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cock
Traditional roadside pub on the outskirts of a small village, so passing traffic in the summer is probably the main trade? Anyway, mid afternoon on a Friday in winter was fairly quiet, but there were still a handful of locals in. Three part interior, with the narrow but elongated bar in the middle, a larger seating / dining area at the right-hand end and a pool room at the other. Just the compulsory Harvey's (£4.40) on one of the three handpumps, but at least this was in great shape.

A pub that commands a spot at the brow of a hill, occupies a decent plot and serves as a bar/restaurant to the caravan park behind. L-shaped internally, with carpeted floor, a longish bar faces on entrance, with tables around the periphery. The L straightens to the right leading to an outside patio through an area predominantly commandeered for eating. Three handpumps, with only Harvey's Sussex Best available (the other two clips reversed and unrecorded) which was in decent enough nick. Functional, but nothing more, and The Horse & Cart wins the two-horse race for best pub in the village at a canter.
