Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ostrich Hotel

Still acting as the station hotel, but the 'L'-shaped bar is definitely pub-like (albeit ornately decorated in an Edwardian style, and with half the tables laid up for dining). There is a separate dining room (with its own small counter on the far side of the servery), a pool 'room' can be found off to the other side and behind this there is a pleasant beer garden with palm trees demonstrating the benefits of the local microclimate. The obligatory Harvey's (£6.00 with a packet of peanuts) and Old Speckled Hen being served from a pair of handpumps on this revisit.

Steve C left this review about Ostrich Hotel

The Ostrich Hotel is a Victorian pub and B&B, with three en suite rooms, located opposite Robertsbridge Train Station. For those not arriving by train there is a car park at the rear. In the right rear of the pub is a small bar area with seating and a television that was switched off. Live sports are not shown here, but there was some low background music playing. The main bar area is found at the front of the pub where the serving counter faces open plan seating and the main front entrance. To the left of the entrance is a drawing room with pool table, loaded bookshelves, old framed prints and armchairs. Out the back to the left is a patio area that leads down to a pleasant tree-lined tropical beer garden and some picnic tables. A function room is advertised, but I did not see it.
I found the service to be very polite. Available from the bar was a standard keg range alongside Peroni and Asahi. One of the four hand pumps was unused which left Harveys Best (x2) and Youngs Special as the cask ale options. Hot food is available during lunch and dinner service times and a sandwich bar menu is available all day. This pub opens at midday and closes at 23:00 (22:30 Sundays). It was quiet during my recent Saturday afternoon visit so there was little atmosphere, but this is a comfortable pub that I would revisit if in the area.
