My ongoing saga of trying to visit the Priory Court Hotel finally ended on Friday afternoon last week. As previously reported, this is a hotel, restaurant and tearoom, but draught beer has now been installed. This comes in the form of Fosters, Kronenburg, Guinness and a cask offering of Harvey’s Best. I was the only customer on Friday afternoon so I had my pick of the outside tables in both the front and larger back garden.
I could imagine sitting outside with a beer and the family on a nice sunny day if I was a guest of this hotel, but I wouldn’t intentionally go here just for a beer.

July 2015

The Priory Court Hotel is open from 08:00 until 16:00 six days a week (closed on Tuesdays). The restaurant is also open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 18:30.

There is no draught beer. This hotel/restaurant/tea room is by no stretch of the imagination a pub.

January 2011

The Priory Court Hotel was closed yesterday (Wednesday) evening and there were no cars in the car park and no lights on in the living quarters upstairs, which I find a bit odd for a hotel. I would deduce that it is in fact closed, but I do not know for sure.

My mate Brian was recently disappointed with the taste of the ale here -- and to me it's always been a hotel bar rather than a pub. Not a local. Okay for a change.
