Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Good Companions

An estate pub, a sports pub (with plenty of Brighton & Hove Albion pennants and larger football flags on display), a 60s pub with a flat roof, a Peacehaven pub, a 'new publican wanted' pub - none of this is likely to set the world on fire, and this one certainly doesn't... On the other hand, at least it's still open and serving its local community. Retains a two-bar interior (although the smaller one was not in use), both plainly furnished and decorated. The larger, 'L'-shaped room has a pool table, dartboard and large projection screen (no doubt for live football, etc.). Also has some wooden picnic benches out on the front patio. Two disused handpumps on the counter, so made do with the inevitable John Smith's (£1.40, half).
