Steve C left this review about The Seafield

I made an attempt to visit the Seafield at 20:30 on Tuesday evening a couple of weeks ago and it was closed so I was glad to see it open at 21:50 last night (again Tuesday). Unfortunately I was given short shrift by the governor who informed me that the pub was closed as he and some locals sat around the bar. From what I saw this is a single room pub with a bar on the right hand wall and some seating to the left. Two of the three hand pumps were off leaving Harvey’s Best as the lone ale option alongside some standard draught. The décor is busy and the music was very loud.

If I want to be talked to like something that came in stuck to a shoe I’ll go around my in-laws. This is an unfriendly pub for locals that is better suited to a deep dark dead-end backstreet rather than on a main thoroughfare. I’ll not be visiting this pub again as it is the least friendly I have encountered in Brighton and Hove, which is some feat bearing in mind that there are around three hundred pubs in this area.
