E TA left this review about The Moorfields Inn

One of 4 pubs owned by The Bath Pub Company, this grand Edwardian building manages to be a good food pub, the menu bordering on the gastro scale, and a decent local. There is a small garden at the back behind a high locked vehicle gate, by the entrance to which is a strange unmanned automatic milk dispensing counter. Inside, there is a dining room at the side and rear, plus a large U-shaped bar which takes its form from the central bar counter. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming – or particularly English – but they did manage to be efficient and functional. The locals on the other hand were friendly enough, and there were a few people who’d travelled here despite its being in the middle of a congested Edwardian housing estate. There was only one ale on, Butcombe Original, but it was in excellent condition and was surprisingly cheap for this chain. One of the better pubs in Bath’s southern sprawl, though parking is problematic and you need to be determined to find it.
