Steve C left this review about The Plough Inn

The Plough Inn is a single room pub that is a bit of a climb up Cliff Rly from Hastings old town. Maybe there are a few tourists knocking about in here during the day, but on Friday evening when I visited it was just a local affair. They all seemed friendly enough though and the landlady was polite. Along with a standard draught range the bar supports a couple of hand pumps that were drawing Harveys Best and London Pride. There was some Sex Pistols playing in the background from the jukebox and on a stage at the rear of the pub is a dartboard, piano and some sound equipment that looks as though it is used for a disco or maybe karaoke. There is also a pool table that takes centre stage and there is a large plasma screen that was switched off and I saw no signs of Sky Sports advertised. Along the left hand side of the pub is a covered smoking area and at the rear is a grass beer garden with minimal seating.

This is certainly not a destination pub for non locals, but with the closure of the Angel Inn around the corner to my knowledge this is the nearest pub to the top of the cliff so worth making a note of if visiting.
