Steve C left this review about The Brewers Arms

The Brewers Arms is a very homely Greene King pub with low beams and a few knickknacks on the walls in both bar areas. The left hand side of the bar is very small, but there is a dartboard by the entrance that just about fits in. Most of the tables in the right hand side were set for dining, but there wasn’t much of an uptake as there were only two other customers when I visited early on a Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. The woman behind the bar was friendly enough and the Guinness was well served. One hand pump was unused so Morland Original, Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen were the ale offerings alongside a very limited draught selection. The advertised food seemed to consist of pub grub and bar snacks, but there maybe another menu as I felt the pub was a little too food orientated to have such a basic menu, but I could be wrong. I didn’t spot any TVs and there certainly isn’t any football shown here, but there was some eighties background music playing.

Outside the rear of the pub there is a covered and enclosed seating area alongside a good sized car park. There is also a small grassed area that has some good rural views and there are a couple of picnic tables and some swings for the kids.

This place had a very sleepy village feel and I would pop back in if passing with some time to kill.

Good, traditional child-friendly, dog friendly pub. Good English pub food, excellent choice of real ale and very genuine, friendly owners. Check out the Jazz evenings on Tuesdays. What more could you ask for?
