Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Catts Inn

A proper village pub with a traditional bar at the front and more of a dining room at the back. Unusually, there are some fold-down wooden bench seats along the front wall for outside perches in the event of afternoon or evening sunshine. As well as the ubiquitous Harvey's (£4.30), Long Man Best Bitter and Proper Job from St Austell were also available from three of the four handpumps.

Located on Rotherfield High Street is the Catts Inn which is much more of a local’s boozer than the Kings Head which is the other pub in the village. The bar area is located at the front of the pub and is stocked with a few standard draught products alongside two hand pumps that were both drawing Harvey’s Best. To the right of the bar there is a fireplace and plasma screen that was switched off; no signs of Sky Sports were spotted. I found the sofas to be a bit low and uncomfortable, but some more standard seating is located to the left of the bar where there is also a dartboard. There is also more seating in a room at the rear of the pub behind the bar. I was surprised at how busy the pub was for a Tuesday afternoon and there seemed to be a buffet on a couple of the tables so maybe I stumbled into a sixtieth birthday party. There was some random background music playing off the jukebox at a reasonable volume.
Pub grub is available for around the £7 mark and it is served at lunchtimes and early evenings. Sunday roasts are available between midday and 15:00 on.. er.. Sundays.

I liked it in here and would return.

A very well run pub that always has helpful staff willing to make your visit enjoyable. With three ladies darts teams this pub is always lively and full of friendly faces.
