Central bar serves 1 real ale. The pub has 2 dartboards and is located down the hill from Brighton racecourse.

The frosted glass in the windows and the sign for the weekly booze raffle at 15:00 every Sunday makes the Wellington look a tad uninviting from the outside. Thankfully looks can be deceiving as I found the service to be friendly and there was a decent atmosphere even though it wasn’t very busy last night (Tuesday). The interior is U shaped and there is a dartboard either side of the pub. The décor is fairly plain, but there are some display cases full of miniature spirit bottles up on the walls. Standard draught is available from the bar that supports two banks of three hand pumps. Unfortunately the only ale option was Harvey’s Best which is ten a penny in this part of the world. There are extended opening hours until midnight everyday expect Sundays when normal opening hours are adhered to. I didn’t notice any upcoming events advertised, but there is a weekly quiz from 21:00 on Sundays. There was no background music that I can remember, but there is a jukebox.
There is an advertised patio garden that I did not see, but I did walk past a few picnic tables on the path out front.

This is a local’s boozer and even though I am not local I’d still have no problem popping back in.
