Steve C left this review about The Stags Head

The Stags Head is split into a left hand lounge bar that I didn’t visit and a public bar to the right. The small bar area is to the left of the entrance at the front of the pub where standard draught products are available alongside two hand pumps. During my recent midweek visit these were drawing Doom Bar and Hobgoblin. A room at the rear houses a pool table, dartboard and plasma screen that was switched off. A tiny plasma screen on the wall at the end of the bar was showing a Champions League football match that was on terrestrial television and I didn’t see any Sky Sports advertisements. However, I did spot an advertisement for Barry King’s video disco and karaoke which occurs every other Friday night and sounds horrendous. There were a couple of locals in during my visit and the landlady was polite enough.

I felt that the Stag’s Head was a bit grubby and disjointed with a mishmash of furniture and the odd box lying around. I would walk past to the George that is almost next door if I found myself in this neck of the woods again.
