The Spanish Lady is Saltdean’s sports pub with two pool tables and a projector and couple of plasma screens for showing Sky Sports. The bar splits the pub in two and to the right, away from the public bar area, there is some seating and a large fireplace that was unused during my recent midweek evening visit. Very reasonably priced food is served from midday until 21:00 Monday until Saturday and Midday until 20:00 on Sunday. As my visit was around 22:00 the kitchen was closed and I didn’t see anyone eating so I know not of the quality. The Guinness was good though and the two hand pumps were drawing Harveys Best. For those interested there is a sixties, seventies and eighties disco on the first Friday of every month.

I’m not sure that many Spanish ladies would be seen dead in here, but I quite liked it and would return to watch the football again if passing.
