Steve C left this review about The Schooner Inn

Located on the busy A259 the Schooner Inn overlooks the Lady Bee marina that can be viewed from two large windows at the rear of the pub. The interior is open plan with basic décor, but there is a pool table and a bar billiards table. A couple of Eagles tracks were playing loudly in the background during my visit early on a recent Saturday afternoon and the plasma screen was off even though football was on so there is no Sky Sports. Some standard draught products are available from the bar and the four hand pumps were drawing Greene King IPA (x2) and Old Speckled Hen (x2). I opted for the Old Speckled Hen which was past its best and undrinkable. I didn’t spot any food menus and nobody was eating, but there is a food van permanently in situ next to the pub. The toilets are located downstairs and there are a few steps up to the entrance of the pub. Outside the front there is limited parking along with some picnic tables.

I wasn’t that impressed with this pub and I don’t plan on returning.
