An engaging little pub with a chlled out feel despite being on the main road. Three good handpumps and some interesting bottles. Pizzas look to be a speciality. Bus stop right outside.

The Quadrant is a small ornately decorated traditional split level pub which is handily placed for a mid-shopping spree pint. The upper section is used for seating and the lower portion houses the bar which supports five hand pumps. During my recent early midweek evening visit these were drawing Thatchers Cask Cider, Dark Star’s Meltdown and Old Chestnut and W J King’s Brighton best and Autumn Mist. There is also a limited standard draught selection but I decided upon the Old Chestnut which was in excellent condition. The toilets are located down some very narrow stairs and there is a function room upstairs that is available for hire. I didn’t spot any televisions but there was some music playing in the background. The clientele ranged from students getting ready to hit the late bars of the area and fifty-somethings having a quick pint on the way home from work.

I think that this is a pleasant enough pub and the barmaid was extremely friendly. I would have no problem returning for a couple more beers.

A pub on two levels with an upstairs lounge which as I remember had a bar many years ago.Had three real ales on with the American Pale Ale being in great form although a bit pricey at £1.80 a half.Loud music played but you can escape this by going upstairs.

Used to visit this pub quite a bit before it closed for redevelpoment a number of years ago.Good to see it reopen again to much of its former self. However, not quite as good range of beers now. Also, the Belgium beers on tap are no more. Very handy for the heart of brightons shopping area.

This corner pub, is built on a hill, so inside there are steps between the levels. The bar is on the lower level. Has upstairs seating area. Sells real ale. But didn't see food advertised, only toasted sandwiches, which technically is food, but you know what I mean. Handy for the bus stop.
