Steve C left this review about Newmarket Arms

The Newmarket Arms is a U shaped pub with a sunken area that houses a dartboard to the right of the stepped entrance. There is another dartboard in the bar area and around to the rear there is a pool table. Sky Sports is shown and during my visit on Tuesday evening one plasma screen was showing muted darts and the other a Premier League football match. There is no real ale here and a pint of generic lager cost £2.80, which is pretty good. The food is very basic with sandwiches being available alongside very cheap pizzas at £4.50 a pop. I’m not sure what time food is available from as I saw no menus.

I found this pub to be more welcoming than the outside suggests and it is the sort of pub I would visit with a couple of mates on a Saturday afternoon for some pub sports and football.
