Steve C left this review about The Mill House

The right hand side of the Mill House is small with a front bay window and some conventional seating. A poster on the gent’s toilet door to the right advertises the weekly quiz that takes place every Sunday from 20:30. The larger left hand ‘public bar’ side has a plasma screen for showing Sky Sports and there is a raised area in another front bay window where two dartboards can be found. Here a poster advertises an upcoming comedy night and live music so I took it that this area is used for the entertainment. In a room around to the left of the bar is a pool table and I spotted a jukebox, but I do not recall any music playing.
There was only one other customer when I visited at about 21:30 on Tuesday evening a couple of weeks ago and the barman looked as though he was starting to clean up for the night. The bar is stocked with standard draught and none of the three hand pumps were in use. Two of them had turned badges so it looked as though ale is usually available. I didn’t spot any food advertised but around to the right of the pub is a take-away called ‘Pub and Pizza’ where pizzas and burgers are available, but this was closed during my visit.

This pub isn’t really of much interest to non-locals as it is a bit of a trek from the station in the middle of a residential area and in my opinion not worth making a special trip to visit.
