Decent back street pub not that far from the main roads. Doom Bar and Harvey's best on offer. We went for the Harvey's which was fine.

A friendly side street pub just up from the main drag, traditionally furnished with a bright feel. A few Sports TVs are sensibly placed while there is a pool room behind. Draught ales still Doom Bar, Tribute and Harvey's Best. Specialises in pies.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Duke of Wellington

One of Brighton's innumerable corner pubs, this one has been opened-out a bit but still retains a side lounge and rear room (now housing the pool table) as well as the narrow, staple-shaped bar. Relatively plain, light decor and tidy furniture throughout. Also has a small patio to one side. Three real ales on handpump: Doom Bar, Tribute and Harvey's (£4.10).

The Duke of Wellington is an L shaped pub with a pool room behind the bar that also houses a plasma screen. There is also a plasma screen on the back wall for showing Sky Sports and there is an outside area with a few tables. One of the three hand pumps was unused, but Tribute and Harveys Best were available from the other two. There is a standard draught selection alongside Staropramen and the Guinness was well served by a friendly barmaid. Some random music was playing in the background that ranged from reggae to Dire Straights and although this pub wasn’t as busy as its peers I though that there was a good atmosphere.

I liked it in here and would have no problem in returning.
