Steve C left this review about The Blue Anchor

The Blue Anchor has a public bar to the right where a pool table, dartboard and jukebox can be found. There is another bar to the left where there is seating and a pinball machine and bar billiards table at the rear. There are a couple of plasma screens that were both off and I didn’t see any Sky Sports advertisements, but a couple of locals who looked like they had been in the pub for a while were discussing the days Ashes results.
Standard draught alongside Hoegarden and Amstel are available from the bar and the lone hand pump was drawing Harveys Best. The only food that I saw advertised was from the ‘light bite’ menu which was very reasonably priced.
There is some covered seating outside the front of the pub and at the rear is a little stone and wood chip beer garden.

I found the service here to be extremely friendly and if I lived locally I would be a regular at this pub.
