Great pub since it has been refurbed and with new management. Offering breakfast is a bonus and lunch till late in the afternoon - very convenient if you're out and about. Dogs very welcome too. Food is good, with a specials board which changes all the time.

A traditional market town pub, one of the oldest in Wimborne, just off the Market Square. There is a small carpark with 2 entrances, quite tight. Outside, in the right season, the walls are adorned with impressive floral displays. There are also some bench tables and seating outside. On entering, the pub is characterised by irregular-shaped rooms, exposed timbers (mostly modern) and a friendly greeting from the staff. The floors are a mix of modern, incongruous tiles and faded carpets. A raised area to the side is laid for diners, and there are 2 pool tables at the back and a couple of dartboards. At the entrance the floor includes a transparent panel with a stone Greene Manne beneath. There is a pub dog, Cooper, who looks a bit sulky but otherwise doesn't do much. Decent pub food is offered at a reasonable price. It's a Wadworth house, and there were 3 Wadworth ales on. I had a pint of Swordfish which was in excellent condition. The pub has a real 'village' feel to it and is well worth visiting for its beer and a restful interlude.
