A small GK-tied pub with the old GK 1799 plaque out front (albeit it does have Freehouse on a sign out front), this has two bars; one through a bar to to right on entry, the other dead ahead through a corridor. Looks to have had a spruce up of late with newish looking carpet, shiny paint (a magnolia/claret scheme) and pool table with new green baize. A dartboard, jukebox and fruit machine make up the entertainment in the right-hand located Games Room which is an L-shape leading to a small bar at the back of the room. The dead ahead Public Bar is larger with pine wood tables and chairs and larger bar surface. Just Morland Old Speckled Hen and Greene King IPA, although the latter's clip was reversed. The OSH was drawn from cask from the cellar and was very good indeed and just £2.70 for a pint's worth. Sporting trophies behind the bar, plenty of A4 papers listing forthcoming pool and darts fixtures mean this comes across as a proper local boozer, and despite the limited ale range, long may it continue to do so.

The Royal Oak is a smallish pub that is at the end of a row of houses about halfway down woburn road.
Once inside there were two small rooms and i had a drink in the lounge which was quite comfortable and had a cosy feel to it.
This pub is a Greene King tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Greene King IPA and this was a fairly decent drink.
I was quite happy having a drink in here.
