E TA left this review about The Stokeford Inn

A Victorian roadside freehouse which forms a great local, but it's difficult to know for whom. There is a decent sized carpark to the rear, which is easy to miss due the surrounding woodland. It's also slightly off the tourist trail despite its propinquity to Monkey World and the Tank Museum. Inside, the single bar is cosy, basic and has a log fire. Food was simple pub grub, a welcome change from all the gastros and Brake Bros outlets in the area. The landlord and landlady were very welcoming, chatty and knowledgeable. Two pumps, but only ale on was Jack Frost. The other pump had a Hobgoblin clip but the beer wasn't ready yet. The Jack Frost was in very good condition, well kept and enjoyable. I'd be very happy to drop in here any time for a pint and a snack.
