E TA left this review about The Drax Arms

This traditional Dorset pub is owned by Hall and Woodhouse. It sits on the main road through the village, while at the back is a small car park and a high terrace with views over the surrounding countryside. There is also a small paved garden. Inside, the two traditional bars have been knocked through but are still demarked. One side is used as a restaurant, the other as a dog-friendly public bar with a dartboard and a mix of seating. The young barmaid was very pleasant and helpful, although the young locals were a mixture of the congenitally thick and the terminally ignorant. The pub hosts live music and quiz nights, and there is a relaxing feel to it when the morons’ antics allow. The only ale on was First Call, which was in excellent condition. Worth finding for the beer and freshly cooked food.
