A creditable attempt at a pub in the museum site, although actually located in an old workshop building. Although containing a few relics from old hostelries it is not an attempt at an historic pub interior as is found in many museums, but on the other hand is open to the public and museum entry (free anyway) is not required. Currently has two rotating beers on handpump, one each from Purity (Gold/Jimbo) and Bradfield (Farmers Blonde/Blushed).

A small square room within the Kelham Island Museum complex. Obviously Victorian decor and furnishings, spoiled by continuous music, a date stone on the gable is 1902. A square servery with three faces being public facing, a five tap T-bar on the side faces and some solos and four pulls on the third. Cask beers from Abbeydale and Bradfield with a mixed range of kegs. Broad board or laminate floor, bent wood chairs and wooden tables. The rear walls have brewery and brewing related info panels. There’s a screen on sport where a dart board used to live. There are no toilets in the pub, you need to use the ones in the museum foyer.

An interesting pub which is part of the Kelham Island Museum site. Housed in a fine looking once derelict industrial storeroom , the fixtures and fittings are reclaimed from former pubs.As well as some craft keg there was quite a large number of cans and bottles available there were also a couple of cask beers on Bradfield Yorkshire Farmer and Abbeydale Moonshine the later being in supurb condition NBSS4 which to be honest I hadn't been expecting and the pub itself more pleasing than I had anticipated. Maybe not a pub crawl regular but more than worth a look.
