Micopub (supposedly – there are two floors and plenty of seats!). Ceiling tiles, plank wood bar, exposed brick wall; nice enough but lacks a bit of homeliness. All cask was from the Stealth Brewery which again seems slightly at odds with the micropub ethos. That said, my Stealth Brew Covert was in great shape (NBSS 4) and as Shaikra once sang, "the lacings don't lie". Decided to stay and try a second, Huggermuggery, which couldn’t repeat the trick (3) though the accompanying pie, mash and mushy peas was excellent. I warmed to the place and would pop back again for a pie and pint. Inevitably, the place is GBG’24 listed.
