Externally much like the Garforth version but no resident loony alas. Inside it’s one square room with the counter taking up half the back wall with its six keg taps mostly of interesting stuff from here and there. Lots of spirits and wines on the back wall and a coffee machine, food is also available as noted on boards above the front window. Basic mixed chairs (yawn), at square tables, the windows have bench seats made of reclaimed wood. Tiny but separate male and female toilets at the back, constant music of course. It’s better than many in Cross Gates but it’s a deadly place for pubs all round.

A conversion of a corner shop that has been nicely done. Bench seats of recycled timber, a parquet floor, dark blue wood panelling on the walls, tables and chairs in good taste. The barman, who at first I assumed to be the owner, was happy to talk about the pub and engaged with me about what brought me there, so I felt welcome and there was a good atmosphere, although only two other customers were in early evening. There was some interesting background music at a decent volume, though I'm pretty sure it must get noisy here later, as the acoustics were a bit tricky even with only four people in, and two of them not making any noise! No real ale, so I had a Thornbridge keg beer called Tzara from the range of six taps behind the bar.
