Well, if there’s a brewery tap on the route of your crawl then you have to do it, if it was open. Sadly by the end of the visit I kind of wished it hadn’t been.
As others have mentioned there’s not a great deal of character to this place and it’s all a bit sterile inside this industrial unit. I went for 2/3 of some stout which was pretty cold and didn’t have a lot of anything going on. Sadly even by the time it had warmed up it still didn’t and I finished up leaving the last 1/3.
With so many decent ale pubs in close vicinity I too cannot see myself troubling this one again.

Tucked away down a dead end street is Calverley’s Brewery Tap with its uncomfortable rectangular interior with little to no décor. It had the air of a work’s cafeteria. The serving counter is found on the right-hand wall where keg fonts line a stainless steel strip across the back bar, no real ale here. The crawl all ended up with 2/3 pints, but I had a half for some reason, I can’t remember what it was. I’m not a massive fan of these basic taps so I don’t plan on returning.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Calverley's Brewery Tap
Brewery and taproom located in some former workshops in a side alley off the dead-end Hooper Street. Once you've worked out which part of the wide door actually opens, you step into an elongated room with the counter at one end and some fairly basic, semi-modern furniture, very limited decoration but a good amount of natural light. Excellent range of 12 brews in a wide variety of styles from the row of keg taps on the bar-back, some unfiltered 'live' beer I understand, although not my Cool Rye Pale (£6.00) as it happened
