A detached, modern family food place, with beer garden area. The name is a bit of a misnomer, as it sits on the edge of a retail park, with views of B&Q to one side, and the delights of the railway and M6 on the other. The pub is in undressed brick, with the most exciting feature being a dormer window. The interior is an L-shaped room, in red and cream, with some patterned wallpaper. There are two fireplaces, each with a mirror above and some bits of sculpture (tat to most of us) is dotted about. Old photos and prints are next to posters of offers. It is all foody, with a kid's play area, so i felt uncomfortable having a drink. The service was fine and everyone was eating - it was busy enough, no doubt with people falling out of the retail park shops. Beer; usual keg beers with Hobgoblin, Pedigree, Banks's Bitter and a decent enough Banks's MILD on handpull. This is a generic family food place.

Newly built family orientated pub-restaurant located in the Gallagher Retail Park, next to junction 9 of the M6. My first impression from the outside was that the place was small but it's actually quite big once you're inside. It has the feel of one of those pub-restaurants that you normally find co-located with a budget chain hotel. It conforms to the usual standard of this type of pub, albeit still with a new feel.

There is a small children's play area inside the pub at the rear. A patio area to the side looks attractive enough from inside but has views of the raised part of the M6 and the railway line.

As it is a Marston's pub it has the usual cask ales of Pedigree, Wychwood Hobgoblin, Banks's Bitter and Banks's Mild. The service was friendly, the food was good enough. If you're shopping with the wife and family and want a drink and something to eat it's a decent shout.
