Alan Winfield left this review about Plumptre Arms
The Plumptre Arms was a proper old back street corner pub that was in the part of the meadows that escaped to slum clearances.
Once inside this pub had a few small rooms that were fairly basic but nice enough to have a few drinks in,we often came in here before going to watch Forest play.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house and there was one real ale which was John Smiths bitter which was on handpump and this was a very nice drink.
This pub is still standing but has now been converted into private use which is a great shame.
