The gloominess of a January Sunday afternoon was made even gloomier by the dimly lit and sparsely furnished bar. Just two useless high tables and one normal height picnic set which had probably been dragged in from the garden. Nobody using it so at least we didn't have to ask to be allowed to sit in the huge dining area, all laid up for the carvery which was gently incubating on an illuminated counter. Clientele comprised a few older blokes blocking the bar when they weren't in the smokers shed, and a few families having lunch. Commendably, you could have some carvery meat in a sandwich, no idea why so few pubs offer this on a Sunday.

Gloom Bar, Butty Bach, and HPA on the pumps, the latter in poor shape. If we'd stayed for a second drink it would have been eurofizz.

The garden looked nice.

Large pub well off the beaten track in the small village of Radford , there is a large carpark to the rear and a big beer garden divided into different areas , the main entrance is on the corner , there is a small local information area in the entrance which leads into the pub , the bar is to the left , there is a long shelf just past the bar with bar stools then a conservatry style ding area , further around is another area with a pool table divided off by a curtain , usual keg taps plus three handpulls with two Wye Valley Seasonals and Tolly Cobold Tolly Ale at a bargain £2 a pint .
The service was friendly as were the locals and the beer was pretty good , this is a pretty good pub
