Steve C left this review about Granvilles

I think Granvilles was once two shops that have been knocked into one to create a large space. The central U-shaped bar counter faces seating to the left and right as well as a dining area at the rear. The two hand pumps were unused so the draught options were premium lagers or keg Old Speckled Hen. Cakes are also available from the bar, I’d have demolished a bit of chocolate cake with a nice stout, but the latter was nonexistent. There was some low background music playing. The service was polite, but this is a bar for people that don’t like bars.

Granvilles is a decent looking bar that is on the opposite side of granville square to the Blue Rooms.
Once insdie there was a craft fair taking place in the left side, this side normaly has seating, there were a few different coloured settees to the rear left, the bar was to the right, this extended round to the right side in an uneven way, there was more seating to the front right.
The rear area was the largest, this was oblong shaped with normal tables and chairs, these were laid out for diners.
All areas are bare boarded which looked quite nice.
There was one real ale on the bar, which was Slaters English bitter, this was a decent drink but a tad expensive.
This is a decent bar to have meal and drink in.
