The Wellington is a large stand alone pub.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar facing, the room is bare boarded, the seating is bench type and chairs.
There was a good choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bath Ales Special which went down very well, the other beers noted were Bath Ales Barnsey/Golden Hare, and two beers from Beerd Brewery, these being Cubic and one called Beerwig.
There was decent background music playing.
The bar people were also very helpful in telling me where the Drapers Arms was,i must have walked past it without seeing it.
I found this to be a decent pub to have a drink in.

First visit to this pub and I have to say I was very surprised by the interior. It has a very trendy feel, all bare floorboards and steam punk lighting. Only cider on tap was the Bath Ales Bounders still or sparkling. The Bath Ales beers have now been joined by a selection of Beerd brewery Ales and a Bibble. The rest still seems as Blackthorn described.

Blackthorn _ left this review about The Wellington

A prominent, brick-built Bath Ales pub towards the top of the main strip of Gloucester Road, it consists of a good sized, L-shape pub with a courtyard garden at the rear and a kid’s play area.

The main part of the pub is quite rustic with rough wooden flooring and a mixture of dark brown and maroon paintwork on the walls along with a mustard colour ceiling. Although largely open plan, some partitioning breaks it up in to different areas with a couple of smaller rooms on the left. The window to the right was completely obscured by a large projector screen, although this was not in use when we visited. At the rear is looks a little more contemporary and opens out in to a larger room with a vaulted ceiling and plenty of windows along the back wall. A plasma on a mobile stand was perched somewhat incongruously in the corner but this was not in use either.

Beyond this is a paved patio area with plenty of picnic style benches and a few more tables on a grassed area to the left. A further garden area was off to the right but we did not investigate this as it looked to be dominated by a kid’s climbing frame and slider.

Beers on tap were all from bath Ales, with their Gem, Spa, Wild Hare and Dark Side. Ciders too were from the BA stable with both still and sparkling varieties of Bounders.
