A detached modern estate pub, but at least with some character, in undressed brick. It is a Black Country Ales pub, though it actually doesn't sell any of it's beer.

The interior has a couple of rooms. The bar has a raised section to the left on entry, with the serving bar to the right. The decor has brown, green and yellow walls with a white ceiling along with a loud carpet. There is a pool table up on the raised area and a dart board at the other end. There was a TV, which ironically had the BBC's 'Culture Show' on - all about modern art and Janet Street-Porter's love of the word cacophony. It was watched by an old chap in a baseball cap and an even older one without - the few young lads played pool. The service was fine. There was no music, so we could all hear that a millstone with a knob on won some prize - beating a stack of chairs along the way. The lounge was in darkness, with the stools upended on the tables. It was in what looked like a red and yellow decor, with white ceiling. There were some prints in theis room on the walls, unlike the bar, which had a few pictures of Black Country Ales - which of course, they don't sell.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD. There was a real ale and it was kept well enough - Celt Golden. No BCA beers.

A perfectly fine locals pub. It has the games and a real ale, as well as the usual keg stuff. The micky take of the TV is about the programme not the pub. Not sure if it is a BCA pub anymore as there was no BCA beer (have i said that already?)
